AIRcontrol is designed in full continuity with OPENcontrol in terms of backward compatibility, enabling immediate and seamless application porting.
The adoption of Linux also lays the foundation for bringing the full power of OSAI CNC technology into the embedded world.

A solution that revolutionizes current architectures while maintaining full compatibility with the other products of the AIRcontrol family.
The modular structure of the real-time software has been migrated to the ARM platform with O.S. Linux.
The result is a highly customizable CNC with an exceptional price-performance ratio.
Control Software Solution
OSAIcnc enlarges the horizons of numerical control philosophy by launching a software CNC.
As a full SW abstraction of the numerical control, Chronosoft consists in a complete porting of all AIRcontrol family software, indeed realtime and HMI functionalities are unchanged.
The soft CNC allows to simplify the HW architecture and design, by installing the CN software directly on the computer of the customers.
As a consequence, a cost reduction related to HW is feasible.

The new AIRcontrol Simulator
Based on the same platform of AIRcontrol family is a simulator of an AIR CNC.
AIRsimulator is built on a two-component architecture:
- AIR Virtual Machine — This is a VirtualBox Virtual Machine which hosts the full AIRsimulator runtime. Thanks to the widely used VirtualBox environment, which provides a stable and isolated simulation space for OS guests, running on Windows OS, the AIR Virtual Machine ensures consistent performance and controlled execution as if it were a physical AIR CNC.
- OSAI License Manager — Running directly on Windows, this application measures the effective usage time of the AIR Virtual Machine.
It ensures accurate license tracking and offers clearvisibility into how long the simulator is actively used.
